Lakota’s Garden

Lakota 's Garden is a small scale organic family farm and food forest serving the southern Oregon community for the past 15 years, growing a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, specializing in melons from all over the world.

Before moving to the rogue valley, Steven farmed for 10 years in the Willamette valley as Little Wing Farm, running a CSA, selling at the Eugene farmers market, and supplying co-ops, grocery stores and restaurants with the freshest seasonal offerings.     Lakota’s Garden is a member of both the Rogue Valley Growers Market and the Applegate Evening Market, in addition to offering CSA subscriptions.

They have nearly 300 fruit trees in production along with figs, several types of berries and table grapes. In addition to the melons and fruit they also raise a smaller amount of fresh vegetables, utilizing 2 large green houses for early crops, and nursery starts available for your home garden.

Chaska, Pearl, and Axis love going to the markets, and helping their dad harvest, set up, and sell the produce. The girls are also extremely talented crafters and offer up their handiwork for sale, and trade. Big brother Lakota is busy with college, but makes an appearance at the markets from time to time.

If you would like to support small scale organic family farmers, please consider purchasing a CSA subscription, or stopping by the market. Lakota 's Garden will be open to the public as part of the Rogue Valley Farm Tour - Sunday July 14th from 10am to 3pm.
