
Cave Junction Farmers’ Market Code of Conduct
All Vendors, Staff, Volunteers and Board Members, whether at the Farmers’ Market site, Board meetings, or any other Farmers’ Market functions, agree to conduct themselves in a professional manner that fosters a sense of community and camaraderie, and a spirit of cooperative involvement, promoting the Farmers’ Market as a whole to the communities it represents and serves.
By participating in the Cave Junction Farmers’ Market, all Vendors, Staff, Volunteers and Board Members agree to:
● Demonstrate the highest standards of personal behavior and integrity at all times- respect for people of all genders, races, ages, ethnicities, religions and abilities.
● Treat customers, Market Staff, Volunteers, Board members and other Vendors with courtesy, patience and honesty.
● Refrain from acting in a manner that is rough, menacing, vulgar, profane or abusive, including making anyone uncomfortable to be within the market space; as well as circulating rumors, or filing false or frivolous reports that affect the reputation, integrity, or smooth operation of the Market.
● Assist fellow Vendors whenever possible.
● Notify the Market Manager immediately of any unsafe conditions and conflicts. ● Resolve conflicts with respect and kindness.
● Problems arising at the Farmers’ Market should be immediately relayed to the Market Manager. The Market Manager will resolve the issue by the end of the market day, or forward the matter to the Board of Directors.
● Practice safe behaviors at all times, including while driving on and off site, loading and unloading.
● The safety and actions of minor children are the responsibility of their parents or guardians at the Market. The parents or guardians are held accountable for their minor children.
